Introduction Classes

Introduction Classes are designed to introduce the individual to a specific modality of natural healing and to begin developing a basic understanding of the underlying theory. Many of the classes also include an opportunity for hands-on experience of the techniques discussed during the theory portion of the class.

You may register for introduction classes individually without being obligated to a Career Program. This is an excellent opportunity to explore natural healing, expand self-awareness and learn valuable healing techniques that will immediately improve your health and benefit the people in your life, i.e. family and friends.

After exploring any number of introduction classes you may choose to further your study and apply credit hours toward a career program.

ABOOUT the INTRODUCTION CLASSES

Massage Introduction * 10 hours

Massage Theory with hands-on practice. Introduction to massage techniques, nutrition, exercise, client preparation and maintenance. Study and learn applications for self, family and friends; all ages and stages of health. Study the Immune/Lymphoid System and learn Lymphatic and Neuro-Lymphatic techniques for the body, face and scalp.

Classroom lecture, experience and practice techniques. Supplies for use in class are included. Review for the cost of supplies only.

Reiki First Degree* 10 hours

Introduction to the natural Healing Art of Reiki. Study the origins and philosophy of Reiki. Study and practice basic techniques of Reiki treatment for self and client. Learn to apply techniques for self, family and friends. Learn and study guidelines for the professional practice of Reiki for all ages and stages of health. Study basic anatomy in relation to health and the chakra system.

Reiki Second Degree* 10 hours

Learn about ancient sacred geometry and the relationship to the energy bodies or chakra system. Learn and apply techniques to facilitate chakra cleansing and energy balancing. Study and apply absentia healing techniques for remote treatments. Understand the importance of transformation and the transmutation of misqualified energy. Study spiritual anatomy in relation to holistic health.

Reiki Third Degree* 10 hours

Study, explore and expand the understanding of the chakra system. Learn how to excavate deep unresolved conflict energy and neutralize it. Learn to apply the third degree symbol to purge pain with immediate results. Understand the healing cycle. Study advanced Energy Medicine techniques.

Reiki Master Teacher* 30 hours

Further explore the application of advanced Energy Medicine techniques and their effect on the energy bodies. Study the teaching model and individualize it to reflect personal understanding. Learn and experience the teaching model of the natural healing art of Reiki through student teaching. Develop and prepare instructional materials.

BioMagnetic Therapy* 10 hours

Introduction to the theory of magnetism applied to the healing and regenerative processes of the body, mind and emotions. Introduction to the practical application of kinesiology. Study the therapeutic approach in relation to the application of biomagnetic techniques. Study the theory and application of techniques applied through the pressure point system of the body. Learn the application of techniques to recognize and clear conflict energy. Learn how to communicate directly with the innate healing intelligence within the body. Integrate working knowledge of anatomy and the pressure points. Learn to locate and clear stored conflict energy in the body due to stress, toxins, neuro-toxins, petro-chemicals, pollutants, etc.

Therapeutic Value of Herbs* 6 hours

Study the ancient mysteries of the herbal kingdom through modern day usage of the science. Introduction to the theory and application of herbs to the health experience. Study and explore culinary herbs as a form of nutrition to support body systems through the healing process. Become familiar with herbs as a preventive first-aid. Understand the relationship of man and the plant kingdom. Learn to apply plants to build and support the functions of the body, mind and emotions.

Aromatherapy* 10 hours

Study the fundamentals, theory and application of Aromatherapy as a form of stress management. Learn to neutralize stress through the use of essential oils. Learn how to create oils for self and family. Study the application of essential oils to the healing process. Learn to integrate Aromatherapy as a compliment to other modalities of healing. Great for personal remedy, perfume, bath, body and facial care.

Reflexology* 10 hours

Introduction to the theory and application of Reflexology, Meridian and Zone Therapy. Study the art of Reflexology and Zone Therapy through the hands, feet and face. Explore a non-invasive way of releasing trapped energy through touch healing. Learn to create balance in the chakras, their corresponding glands, organs and systems. Study basic anatomy in relation to health and the Reflexology model.

Holistic Nutrition Theory* 8 hours

Introduction to life chemistry. Examine and understand the daily life of your cells and the effects of various foods. Apply health experiments to determine the level of available nutrition. Study basic anatomy in relation to assimilation and elimination of food. Learn the importance of nutrition in a good health experience.

Qi Gong* 6 hours

Introduction to Qi Gong and Eastern philosophy. Study and learn about the energetic human experience. Explore the relation of Eastern philosophy to human anatomy. Study the effects of mental focus, intention, movement and breathing on the human energy field and physical body. Learn and practice basic warm-up routine and Qi Gong forms.

Classroom lectures, experience and practice techniques.

Holistic Communication* 10 hours

Study the relation of communication to the practice of the natural healing arts and other life experiences. Study the communication model and its effect on the individual’s mental, emotional and physiological state. Explore and develop a basic understanding of the mechanics of communication and their effect on an individual’s response. Learn and practice communication techniques.

Oriental Massage and Eastern Philosophy* 10 hours

Introduction to oriental massage. Study Eastern philosophy and its relationship to oriental massage. Study the philosophy of the Tao and its importance to Eastern modalities of healing. Study and learn about acupressure points and meridians. Explore the concept of chi and its relationship to health and the human experience. Learn to examine and affect the flow of chi throughout the body. Classroom lectures, discussion , experience and practice techniques.

Swedish Massage* 30 hours

Study the history of massage. Explore and learn the philosophy and professional practice of massage. Learn and apply various techniques of Swedish Massage. Study and learn the effects of applied techniques to the soft tissues of the body. Study the relation of massage to anatomy, physiology, pathology and kinesiology.

Classroom lectures, experience and practice techniques. Supplies for use in class are included. Textbook and massage table not included. Portable massage table is required.
